Con esta ficha queremos iniciar la sección Capcom People, en la que dedicaremos monográficos de miembros importantes de esta empresa. En cada ficha habrá un listado de juegos en los que ha trabajado, entrevistas, fotos y alguna que otra cosilla más. En este caso, al ser un dibujante ponemos unas cuantas ilustraciones suyas.

En el reportaje exclusivo de la revista EGM, se revela que el diseñador de personajes de Street Fighter IV es Daigo Ikeno (o Ikeno Daigo), también conocido como Daigoro. Desconocido para muchos, lleva un largo recorrido en Capcom.

Currículum de Daigo Ikeno en Capcom

Ikeno fue elegido entre 200 personas durante el Street Fighter: Battle Event para unirse al equipo de creativos de Capcom en 1994.

Su primer trabajo fueron los diseños en Super Street Fighter II X, y poco a poco fue introduciéndose en proyectos más y más importantes, como por ejemplo los diseños en Vampire Hunter, Street Fighter III Third Strike o parte de las sagas Onimusha y Devil May Cry.

Humildemente siempre habla de estar muy orgulloso de formar parte del Capcom Team y que le encantaría que algunos de sus trabajos resultaran memorables con el paso del tiempo.

En Capcom Town no nos cabe duda de que sus trabajos tienen una calidad excelente, solo hay que ver que está involucrado en Street Fighter 4.

Para finalizar, y como curiosidad, recordar que hace relativamente muy poco, los chicos de Udon retocaron los diseños de Ikeno para la versión HD de Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo. Por lo menos nosotros no estuvimos muy a favor de este hecho ya que podían haber mantenido los originales o incluso realizar unos nuevos diseños para la edición.

    As I Know, Ikeno is credited as conceptual designer, Tatsuya Yoshikawa as the main character designer, Hideaki Itsuno as the director and Hiroyuki Kobayashi as producer.
