Entrevista a Ono (historia y orígen de SFIV)

En 1up han colgado un trozo más de su entrevista a Ono, el productor de Street Fighter IV. Este es un pequeño resumen de lo que se cuenta en ella:

· El primer juego en el que Ono trabajó al llegar a Capcom fué Muscle Bomber (Slammasters).

· Después, Ono trabajó en Street Fighter Alpha (el primero).

· Tras un tiempo sin hacer juegos de lucha, volvió a ellos para Street Fighter III.

· Produció el rap que suena en la intro del SFIII 3rd Strike.

· Luego pasó a ser productor, con Shadow of Rome y Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams.

· Cuando otro productor dejó Capcom, entró a mitad de proyecto en Capcom Fighting Evolution para suplirle.

· Aún no está acabada de decidir el estilo de la música de SFIV.

· La música de SFIV tendrá algunos elementos que recordarán a la de SFIII, pero la están dirigiendo hacia otro sitio.

· Cree que en Capcom Fighting Evolution era buena idea mezclar personajes de varios juegos, pero no lo era mezclar los diferentes estilos de juego.

· La mezcla de estilos de juego era el principal problema de CFE, y lo evitará en SFIV cogiendo lo básico y común de los juegos para evolucionarlo naturalmente.

· Sabía que los fans querían SFIV al hablar con ellos en las convenciones y al ver las ventas de Street Fighter II Turbo en XBLA.

· Inafune le dió el OK final para hacer SFIV, dos años despúes de acabar Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams, tras muchos estudios de mercado y debates para convencer a Capcom.

· Muchos trabajadores del equipo de desarrollo estaban muy interesados y emocionados en hacer SFIV, pero quien decidía eran los jefazos que firman los cheques.

· En el trabajo diario al hacer SFIV les llega mucha presión de todos lados, pero no les importa porque aman la saga Street Fighter.

· Es consciente de las grandes espectaciones que hay respecto al juego, estarán ajustándolo hasta el último minuto para cumplir lo esperado.

· Le preguntan qué otra saga de lucha de Capcom le gustaría recuperar (si las ventas de SFIV se lo permiten). Responde que Marvel vs Capcom y Darkstalkers dentro de dos o tres años.

· Le encantaría recuperar Darkstalkers porque encuentra interesante el gran reto de adaptar las animaciones de morphing de los personajes a la tecnología de nueva generación usada en SFIV.

· Ono está rezando para que la próxima película de imagen real sobre Street Fighter sea buena [Risas].

· El equipo de desarrollo del juego no está muy envuelto en la producción de la película, está supervisando el guión y afirma que algunas escenas molarán mucho.
