La atractiva Luka, la compañera de Wayne, será por vez primera un personaje seleccionable en la versión de Lost Planet para PS3. En las versiones de PC y Xbox360 aparecía sólo en las escenas cinemáticas.

De esta forma se une a Wayne, y a los personajes seleccionables que habían hasta ahora exclusivamente en la versión de PC, como MegaMan o Frank West (protagonista de Dead Rising) en calzoncillos.

También, se anuncian 4 modos de juego on-line: Team survival, Survival, Data Scramble (en el que parece que se tiene que ir añadiendo información en un mapa) y Fugitive (en el otro un jugador hace de fugitivo y los demás de cazadores).
