El primer día de la feria AOU no está abierto todavía al público, sino que está dedicado exclusivamente para los medios y para agentes de negocios del sector.
Street Fighter IV fue uno de los protagonistas de la feria, solo había que acercarse al stand del juego y ver las largas colas para jugar a este esperado juego de lucha, por lo que se iban turnando los jugadores cada 90 minutos; pero para amenizar el ambiente se encontraban dos chicas disfrazadas de Chun-Li y Crimson Viper, las cuales incluso se echaron unos rounds con sus respectivos personajes.
Capcom dispuso de varias recreativas con una versión jugable del juego, en la que podías escoger a los diez personajes que anunciaron, los que accedían a los tres escenarios disponibles, el ubicado en China, otro que parece ser una posada japonesa y el que parece será el escenario de Guile, estaríamos hablando de USA.
El juego parece haber gustado entre medios del sector, se podía ver al Sr. Sawatari (director jefe del magazine Arcadia) muy entretenido echando unas partiditas, incluso Jean Snow, miembro de Kotaku que estaba en el evento dijo que el juego era muy impresionante, que ganaba muchísimo al jugarlo en una pantalla en alta resolución, y que estaba muy cuidado en todos los aspectos, destaca por ejemplo el pelo del pecho de Zangief, que está en continuo movimiento.
Otros juegos tuvieron mucha espectación durante la feria, como KOF XII , donde se pudieron ver los primeros videos del juego en los que se mantenían la estética en 2D, pero esta vez en HD. También se presentaron públicamente juegos como Blazblue, el shotter Dodonpachi Dai Fukkatsu, Virtua Fighter 5 R, Arcana Heart 2, Action Police Deca o el nuevo juego musical de la serie bemani llamado Jubeat.
