A raíz del Captivate han aparecido varias entrevistas a Yoshinori Ono, centradas básicamente en la versión doméstica del juego y en los últimos personajes anunciados en el juego. La versión arcade ya es gold, es decir, ya está acabada y lista para enviar a producirse en masa.

Rufus ha sido planteado como un personaje humorístico, pero detrás de su apariencia freaky hay un personaje jugablemente interesante que está recibiendo muy buena aceptación de quienes lo han probado.

Seth es un personaje no del todo humano, tal como refleja su cara inexpresiva, su particular color de piel y el dispositivo que lleva en el estómago. En cuanto a su historia estará muy relacionado con otros personajes, por ejemplo con la explicación de cómo y porqué Bison ha vuelto, tras su supuesta muerte y la supuesta caída de Shadaloo.

De momento no quiere hablar sobre si Seth será seleccionable o no. Parece que en la versión arcade no lo será, pero afirma que si los usuarios lo quieren, lo será más adelante. En la versión arcade habrán unas pinceladas sobre la historia de Seth, pero se tratará más a fondo en las veriones domésticas.

Por petición de los dueños de los salones recreativos japoneses no han incluído las fases de bonus en la versión arcade porque así el juego sale más rentable ya que el mantener esos segundos sin que el jugador pueda perder impide ese posible ingreso de dinero adicional.Cuenta que en Street Fighter III 3rd Strike los dueños desactivaban estas fases de bonus con los dipswitches. Quiere meterlas en las versiones domésticas, pero de momento no puede asegurar que vayan a estar.

Piensa que los fans tienen mucho aprecio a los personajes y sus historias, por lo que sí confirma son escenas animadas para intros y finales de todos los personajes en las versiones domésticas (la versión arcade tendrá imágenes estáticas en los finales). Se rumorea que estas escenas de anime están siendo realizadas por una de las principales empresas de la animación japonesa.

Aparte del on-line y de las escenas de animación en intros y finales de momento no puede confirmar más contenido extra para las versiones de consola ya que primero quiere centrarse en que dichas versiones alcancen la calidad de la versión arcade y de que su modo on-line esté a la altura antes de decidir qué nuevos contenidos incluye.

Por tanto afirma que hasta dentro de unos meses no podrá concretar si ponen más fases de bonus, de nuevos modos de juego, qué nuevos personajes ponen etc.

Yoshinori Ono agradece el positivo feedback que ha recibido en el juego, y afirma que no decepcionará a los fans de Street Fighter II. Afirma que la opinión sobre el juego ha ido mejorando mucho entre jugadores y prensa, y piensa que el principal motivo ha sido el cambio que han hecho en la detección de colisiones.

Para dar una sensación de juego más cercana a Street Fighter II, al final han usado detección en colisiones en 2D. En las versiones domésticas van a poner un sistema de tutoriales, en el que piensa poner una opción para hacer visibles dichas cajas de colisión y permitir así que los jugadores más hardcore puedan estudiar mejor los movimientos.
