Captivate ’08: Demo de Resident Evil 5

Todos esperábamos algunas novedades con respecto al título, pero según las parlabras de su productor Jun Takeuchi -“Por el momento no podemos revelar más detalles”-, hacen que la desilusión en cierta manera se haga patente.

Aunque tampoco nos quedamos sin saber otros aspectos sobre el juego, como alguna pequeña información o detalles sobre la demo que enseñaron en el evento el pasado fin de semana. Os hacemos un resumen de lo más destacado:

– El juego se encuentra actualmente a un 60% del desarrollo total, y ofrecerá un total de 20 horas de juego aproximadamente.

– En el E3, que se celebrará en los Angeles del 15 al 17 de Julio, enseñarán mucho más del juego y nos darán más información de la historia y de los personajes.

– Se presentó la primera demo jugable bajo la infraestructura de XBox 360, en la cual Kawata jugaba con Chris y era perseguido por barricadas de enemigos, los cuales también llegaban por el techo.

– El juego parece muy espectacular, lo comparan con lo quefue su antecesor, Resident Evil 4, para Game Cube. Está realizado con una versión avanzada del Capcom MT, motor gráfico utilizado en juegos como Devil May Cry 4, Dead Rising o Lost Planet.

– Tendremos la posibilidad de ir rompiendo cosas, como partes del escenario, dando así una sensación de realidad al juego.

– La demo, de 10 minutos de duración, recordaba demasiado a Resident Evil 4, pero Takeuchi se defendió diciendo que ahora el poblado ocupa cuatro veces más que el de su antecesor. Y que se han basado mucho en el anterior juego, considera que si algo funciona no hay que tocarlo. Pero la acción será más frenética, todo se ha enfatizado.

– Por el momento no pueden confirmar lo del sistema cooperativo, después de ver al nuevo personaje femenino. Takeuchi dijo que si había un nuevo sistema de juego pero que esta se anunciaría en el E3.

– No han dicho nada relacionado con el nuevo personaje femenino, solo se dice que podría tratarse de un mercenario, y que durante el juego le menciona como utilizar una arma a Chris.

-Con respecto a una pregunta que le hicieron a Jun Takeuchi sobre si la versión PS3 utilizaría el control de RE4 Wii edittion, este respondió que no podría hacerse ya que el sensor de movimiento no era tan sensible, y sería un punto negativo para la jugabilidad.
