Además de los gloriosos arcade sticks de MadCatz, también podremos adquirir controladores de este tipo para PS3 y Xbox360 fabricados por la prestigiosa Hori. Esta marca siempre ha destacado por la sobresaliente calidad de sus productos.

Ambos usarán cable USB, gracias a lo cual como el resto de controladores de dichas consolas los harán compatible con PC. Contarán con artwork del juego diferente para cada versión y command list del juego. Estarán disponibles a partir del 12 de febrero.

Versión PS3

Viene a ser un HORI Real Arcade Pro 3. Usa una palanca modelo Sanwa JLF-TP-8Y-SK, que puede usarse como cruceta digital, analógico izquierdo y analógico derecho. Pesa 2,59 kg. 6,985 cm de alto sin joystick, 12,7 cm con joystick. 40 cm x 22,86 de ancho.

El frontal tiene 8 botones principales, situados de forma que se puedan usar los 6 botones de Street Fighter siguiendo el estándard americano (dos lineas rectas de 3 botones) o el estándard japonés (dos líneas curvas de 3 botones). Están situados con la configuración:

Los botones son de marca Hori, aunque muy similares a los Sanwa OBSF-30/24. Tienen conexiones de fácil desensamblaje para poder ser re-emplazados (recomendamos para ello botones marca Sanwa o Seimitsu). Dichos botones tienen 3 opciones de turbo: lento, normal y rápido, dando hasta 20 pulsaciones por segundo.

Una gran ventaja de este modelo respecto al Virtua Stick High Grade de Hori es que soporta sin ningún problema 3 o más pulsaciones simultáneas.

Además dispone de los botones Select, Start y Home situados en el frontal. Su precio recomendado es de ¥9800 (83,59€). Yo lo he pedido en Play Asia, donde con gastos de envío -66€, no aceptan correo cutre- sale por un total de 145,46€.

Versión Xbox 360

Viene a ser un Hori Fighting Stick EX2, modelo un poco más sencillo que el de PS3. Tiene tanto palanca como botones de marca Hori, esta vez soldados a la placa base, por lo que costaría más cambiarlos.

Los botones principales son sólo 6, dispuestos en el curvado estándard japonés con la configuración:

En este caso, ninguno tendrá opciones de turbo. En la parte superior estarán en pequeñito el resto de botones de los mandos de esta consola.  Su precio recomendado será de ¥7980 (68,08€). También podéis reservarlo en Play Asia.

Comparación rápida Hori vs MadCatz de mandos oficiales Street Fighter IV

Básicamente el SFIVTE de MadCatz es un pelín más grande y pesado que el SFIV HRAP3 de Hori, además de traer botones Sanwa (los mejores, los mismos que la recreativa).

La disposición de botones es parecida, aunque a diferencia del HRAP3, el SFIVTE tiene exáctamente la misma que la recreativa del juego.

Además el SFIVTE trae un compartimento para guardar el cable y los botones secundarios están a salvo de pulsaciones accidentales, en la parte posterior del mando.
