Primeras cifras de ventas de Street Fighter IV en USA

Según NPD, los datos de ventas de febrero en Estados Unidos demuestran que la recesión no afecta a los videojuegos. Es más, en este febrero han generado un 10% más de dinero que en el mismo mes del año anterior.

En el ranking de los juegos más vendidos del mes en dicho país, las versiones de Xbox 360 y PlayStation 3 de Street Fighter IV debutan en segunda y tercera posición respectivamente, tan solo superadas por el perenne Wii Fit.

Según estima NPD, allí el juego Street Fighter IV salió a la venta el dia 17 de febrero, y hasta final de mes vendió 849.000 unidades (incluyendo versión normal y coleccionista para ambas consolas).

De las cuales, 446.000 fueron de la versión Xbox 360 (52.53% del total) y 403.000 fueron de la versión PS3 (47,47% del total).

Este dato es bastante sorprendente primero porque ese mes salió Killzone 2, una potente exclusiva de PS3 a la venta (eso sí, al salir a la venta el dia 27 sólo entraba en el mes por dos dias), y por la gran diferencia de base instalada entre ambas consolas en ese país.

En USA, hasta finales de febrero Xbox 360 lleva vendidas 14.560.286 consolas según NPD, aproximadamente el doble de las 7.273.396 que lleva PS3.

Curiosamente, tal como apunta Edge, con Soul Calibur IV también pasó que tuvo unas ventas similares en ambas consolas, cosa que no se ha repetido en otros juegos como Call of Duty World at War.

Parece que en USA prefieren la 360 para los shooters multiplataforma, y la PS3 para los juegos de lucha. ¿Será por el pad?
