Capcom ha dado más detalles de la esperada secuela de Lost Planet en el último numero de OXM (Oficial Xbox Magazine).

Primeramente se ofrecen nuevas características en el juego, como una completa customización y creación del personaje, suponemos que mediante un editor.

Tendremos la posibilidad de jugar en cooperativo en grupos de cuatro jugadores, incluyendo para esto una barra llamada Team Military Power Bar, una barra de energía de reserva para diversas acciones en grupo y situaciones de miembros de nuestro equipo, como por ejemplo el agotamiento de un jugador del equipo.

Por el momento Lost Planet 2 únicamente tiene prevista su salida en Xbox 360, aunque no es de extrañar su salida en otras plataformas.
